The overall purpose of the PTA is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. PTA is not an organization that just raises money and plans parties... it's so much more!
The Fisher PTA is an organization made up of hundreds of Fisher parents, grandparents, Fisher staff members, and community members who work to create the best possible educational experience for our kids and provide support for our teachers.
We provide exciting educational programs for both students and parents, and through our fundraising programs we work to meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of the school's budget.
With your membership support, Fisher PTA can:

WE SUPPORT Fisher Elementary!
Through our fundraising efforts, PTA provides gifting to Fisher that has been used towards items such as:
- guided reading books
- Library books
- classroom equipment
- playground equipment
- outdoor sunshades
- educational programs for both students and parents just to name a few!
Research strongly shows that a parent’s involvement in a child’s education is a huge contributor to that student’s success in school both academically and behaviorally. The PTA is one great way to get involved!
By being a PTA member you will get important updates about Fisher PTA programs, volunteer opportunities, and ways to be directly involved in your student's education.
PTA members are not required to attend meetings or volunteer. Simply joining supports our school and makes the PTA stronger—and it gives you a vote on PTA budget and activities!
As a PTA member, you get access to our online student directory. This directory can help you in sending out birthday invites, contacting a friend for a playdate, getting to know others in your child's class.

What does it cost to become a pta member?
- $10 for one membership (one person)
- $20 for a family membership — students can be members too!
- $5 for staff
- $15 for a staff family membership
By joining Fisher’s PTA, you will automatically be a member of the Texas PTA and National PTA. Fisher has received multiple awards from both the Texas PTA and the Frisco ISD Council of PTAs for our outstanding parent, grandparent, staff, and community member support! A heartfelt thank you to all of our PTA members!
IF I JOIN, DO I HAVE TO ATTEND MEETINGS?
No meetings required! Meetings are a great way to stay in-the-know with school happenings and we would love to have you, but your attendance is never mandatory. Your membership alone makes a difference for Fisher!
AM I REQUIRED TO VOLUNTEER?
No! Joining the PTA is not the same thing as signing up to volunteer. However, if you choose to volunteer as your schedule allows, we would LOVE your help!
Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and teachers and become involved in our school community. There will be various volunteer opportunities available throughout the year so that we can accommodate a variety of schedules.
